Lórien Hops

Lórien hops, a new addition to the hop family, have been developed with a specific vision in mind: to complement and enhance the crisp, refreshing qualities of lager beers. As the third commercial hop launch from Indie Hops, Lórien is a progeny of a Sterling female and a German male hop, embodying a blend of Old World and New World hop characteristics.

The flavor profile of Lórien hops is distinct and multifaceted, offering a bouquet of lemon and lime zest, fresh melon, sweet hay, and wildflowers, with a unique finish of cinnamon spice that acts as a palate cleanser. The hop's ability to let the malt shine through while still providing a complex finish makes it a versatile ingredient for various beer styles, though it shines brightest in lagers, light beer styles, and ales. It pairs well with classic lager hops like Hallertauer, Hersbrucker, and Czech Saaz, it can be used to enrich the flavor profile without overpowering the essential "beer" flavor that comes from the malt and clean fermentation.
