The ideal fermentation temperature for this strain is 18.0-22.0 °C. This strain is commonly used to produce various Belgian-style ales including Trappist ales and Dubbels, as well as Belgian Strong Ales, Witbiers, and speciality beers such as Flanders Red Ales and Oud Bruins. It imparts a complex flavor profile with mild fruitiness, subtle spiciness, and notes of bubblegum and banana esters that balance the malt character in beer.
